Why convert images to PDF?

PDF is the universal document format — it looks identical on every device, operating system, and printer. When you need to share a set of images as a single, professional document, converting them to PDF ensures the recipient sees exactly what you intended, with pages in the right order and consistent formatting.

Unlike sending a ZIP of loose images (which many email clients won't preview), a PDF opens instantly in every browser and document viewer. Recipients can scroll through pages, zoom in, and print without needing any special software.

Common use cases

  • Scanned documents — Combine multiple scanned pages (receipts, contracts, ID cards) into a single PDF for submission to insurance companies, government portals, or HR systems.
  • Photo portfolios — Photographers and designers can assemble a curated set of images into a PDF lookbook that clients can browse and print.
  • Presentations and reports — Export slide screenshots or data visualizations as a PDF for stakeholders who prefer a static, printable format.
  • Real estate and inventory — Compile property photos or product images into a single document for listings, catalogs, or internal records.
  • Education — Students and teachers can combine whiteboard photos, handwritten notes, and diagrams into organized study materials.

Page size options explained

A4 (210 x 297 mm) is the international standard paper size used in most countries outside North America. Choose this for documents that may be printed on standard office paper in Europe, Asia, or Australia.

US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) is the standard paper size in the United States and Canada. Use this when the PDF will be printed on American letter-size paper.

Fit to Image makes each page exactly the size of the image, with no margins or white space. This is ideal for digital viewing or when you want the images to fill the entire page.

How browser-based PDF generation works

This tool uses pdf-lib, an open-source JavaScript library, to build the PDF entirely in your browser. Each image is embedded into a new page, scaled to fit the selected page size with proper margins, and the final PDF is assembled in memory. The result is downloaded directly — your images never leave your device.
