The short version

CompressLocal's image and PDF tools process the files you select inside your browser. The tools do not upload those selected file bytes to a CompressLocal processing server. The page itself still makes ordinary network requests for hosting, static assets, consent, analytics, and advertising as described below.

Browser-local file processing

When you select an image, PDF, or signature image, supported tool operations use browser APIs, Web Workers, WebAssembly, and bundled libraries to read and transform it locally. Generated output remains in browser memory until you download it or leave the workflow. We do not create an account or send selected file contents to our hosting, analytics, consent, or advertising services.

Browser extensions, modified browsers, operating-system services, or other software outside this site are not controlled by CompressLocal. Keep original files because locally generated output cannot be recovered from us.

Hosting and request logs

The static site is delivered through Amazon Web Services, including AWS CloudFront. Those services receive normal request information, such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent, and related security or delivery data. AWS may retain logs under the site operator's configuration and its own terms.

Consent and privacy choices

We use Google Privacy & Messaging, a Google-certified consent management platform, to show messages and store choices where its configured messages apply. Advertising and analytics are evaluated as separate purposes. Until the provider reports that the relevant purpose is permitted or does not apply, CompressLocal does not initialize that ad slot or Google Analytics tag. We do not use a CompressLocal local-storage flag as the authority for these choices.

Use the control below to ask Google Privacy & Messaging to reopen an applicable European regulations message and change or revoke a prior choice. Google may also render region-specific controls, such as a US-state opt-out link, when the operator has published and configured the corresponding message.

Analytics

When the analytics purpose is eligible, we load Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, traffic sources, device/browser information, and site engagement. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers according to the consent state and Google's terms. It does not receive the contents of files selected in a tool workflow.

Advertising and Google's required disclosures

When the advertising purposes are eligible, we use Google AdSense to request and display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to personalize ads based on visits to this site and other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through the privacy control above or by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also visit aboutads.info to manage some third-party advertising cookies.

Other enabled vendors or ad networks, if any, are disclosed in the Google Privacy & Messaging notice shown where applicable. That notice provides the controls available for those enabled vendors. Google's handling of data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

AWS CloudFront — Static site delivery, security, and ordinary request logging.

Geist font — Served locally as a bundled static site asset; this site does not request it from Google Fonts.
