Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 8, 2026

The short version

CompressLocal.com does not collect, store, or transmit your images. All compression happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API and Web Workers. Your files never leave your device.

Data we do NOT collect

  • Your images or files — they are never uploaded anywhere
  • Personal information — no accounts, no sign-ups
  • Cookies for tracking purposes set by us

How compression works

When you drop an image into the compressor, it is processed using Web Workers running inside your browser. The compressed output is generated locally and made available for download. At no point is any image data sent over the network. You can verify this by opening your browser's DevTools and checking the Network tab during compression.
